Mission 3: The Banter, the Bravado, and the Hunt, Another Successful Weekend in the Field

πŸ“… Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd March

A great team performance delivering over 4,000 servings of red meat mince for those in need.

The camaraderie, commitment, and good humour were in full force as our team took to the hills once again. With a well-oiled operation and a high-performing crew, we pushed through multiple hunts, all while keeping spirits high and the banter even higher.

With the efficiency of our volunteers and the seamless logistics in place, we made sure that every animal harvested would be processed in prime condition for distribution.

This time around, we packed in five hunts: Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening, and a final push on Sunday morning. A standout moment came courtesy of our Wise Old Owl and Huntmaster, Bob. Knowing how to push the team’s competitive spirit, he made his classic declaration: β€œYou will be wasting your time – no experienced hunter ever goes hunting at this time of day!” Of course, he knew exactly what he was doing. Nothing sparks determination quite like being told something can’t be done.

As expected, the teams took the challenge head-on. Against the odds and in the heat of the day, they proved Bob wrong, yet again. The result? A staggering 18 animals shot, 17 recovered in what was supposedly a "waste of time" hunt. A textbook example of reverse psychology at its finest!

A huge well done to all the hunters who made it happen, and a special shoutout to Bob for keeping us all on our toes. Another successful mission in the books, on to the next one!
