Mission 2: Feeding Families and Protecting the Land

📅 Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd February

Our second official Stoney Creek Hunt for Good mission is done and dusted — and what a weekend it was!

The numbers say it all:

  • 🦌 96 deer culled

  • ⏳ 350 volunteer hours

  • 🥩 550 kgs of venison mince

  • 🍽️ 3,712 servings of good kai for families

The weather was a hot as, so the crew had to crack on with processing the meat fast. Luckily, we had a new processing platform this time -made the job quicker and heaps safer for everyone.

All the venison mince from this mission went straight into the Tauranga Food Bank freezers by Monday arvo, ready to help feed local families doing it tough. It’s what we're all about - turning wild game into good, healthy kai for those who need it most.

None of this would happen without our awesome volunteers and the backing of our Platinum Partners - Stoney Creek, Sequal Lumber, Bay Gold, and Trinity Lands. Your support keeps us going strong, and we’re so grateful to have you in our corner.

Huge thanks to everyone who chipped in for Mission 2 - we’re only just getting warmed up!
