Pilot 1 Drop-Off: 150kgs of Venison Delivered to Tauranga Community Food Bank

Jasper Osborne (Hunt For Good, Founder) Jordy (Tauranga Community Food Bank)

On July 26th, 2024, Hunt for Good hit another major milestone as we completed our first official meat drop-off from Pilot 1. Our team proudly delivered 150kgs of pure, sustainably harvested wild venison to the Tauranga Community Food Bank, helping provide nutritious red meat to families in need. This delivery is the result of three days of hard work in the Whanganui Hill Country, where we harvested 27 deer and turned our efforts into a tangible impact for the community.

The venison was expertly processed by our trusted partner, Mr. Meat Man, ensuring it was top quality and ready to be distributed. This drop-off is a perfect example of what Hunt for Good is all about—addressing the deer overpopulation problem while filling the red meat gap in food parcels for those who need it most.

We’re incredibly proud of this first step and can’t wait to continue supporting food banks across New Zealand with wild venison, providing families with healthy, sustainable meals. Stay tuned as we prepare for more deliveries from our upcoming hunts and keep making a difference in our communities!
